yes, i change my blog around too often.
and yes i always say to myself i'm going to get better about blogging. most of the time that doesn't happen.
BUT, this time around i really am going to be better about it. there is just too much to say and no one to really say it to.
i have some of the greatest friends, don't get me wrong, but a lot of them i feel as if i can't express my feelings or thoughts with them. so, with that being said, i have turned to blogging in order to write out my feelings. i figure this is much better than holding it all in.
so, here goes.
a few things i have kept in mind going into my second year of school:
-don't pretend to be someone you're not. this is essentially your clean slate. don't dirty it with things that aren't you.
-actually go to class. skipping class because you "don't wanna go" isn't going to cut it. your teacher doesn't care that you aren't there because you're paying for it.
-surround yourself with people that are going to build you up. this goes along with sticking to your true self. don't lower or change your standards to "fit in."
-don't take your close, true friends for granite. they are always going to be there, but that doesn't mean you can expect them to always be around.
-stay close to your family. just because you've moved out doesn't make you too cool for them. they are still your family, and honestly they are the most important people who matter the most.
some of these things i am still working on, but mostly this is for those freshman who think they are entitled to everyone. i was once in that same situation, but looking back now these are definitely the things i wish i was working harder on.
thank heavens for growing up.
